The museum’s main building is the former Hoffman Hotel, constructed in 1852, which contains authentically furnished period rooms and changing exhibits that present art, history and historic preservation. Two mainstays at the museum are its exhibit chronicling the history of the area’s textile industry and North Carolina’s largest public collection of horse-drawn vehicles. It is located in downtown Dallas.
